ARTC 2305 - Digital Imaging II

Purpose:
Learn how digital media experiences can deepen your understanding of subject-area content, critical thinking, and develop textual, aural, and visual literacies. We will explore strategies for helping you to analyze the purpose and context of images and understand how to communicate effectively and ethically with images. In addition, use Adobe Photoshop to create and plan your own photo essay assignment about your life dealing with the CONVID-19 virus at home. You can make it fun, reflect advice, or some fun things to do while at home.

Task:
Begin by deciding on your style and structure you're thinking. Next, gather a collection of photos that you’d like to compose, also any music files you would like to add. In some instances, these may be photos you already have or photos you’ve captured with your own camera. If needed, you may want to visit  Flickr Commons for public domain images.  You must use a minimum of 7 photos or greater.

Use Photoshop to creatively edit and enhance your photos for meaning, mood, and emotion. Remember what you learned about image manipulation, and carefully select the tools that align to your intended story, audience, message, and style. This may or may not include overlay text or captions.

Thoughtfully compose your photos in a way that tells your story about life dealing with CONVID-19 . Don’t be afraid to try multiple composition styles — this might help you discover the one that’s most effective.

Use Photoshop to publish your photo essay as a slideshow, or use a method that works best for you.
