You never get a second chance to make a first impression. Making every employee feel comfortable and familiar with their new working environment is the best way to start a healthy work relationship. And this crucial step can help pave the path for boosting employee engagement and building a productive workforce.
At Mountain View College, I worked on the team that developed content for the New Employee Welcome. All new employees attended a one hour interactive session where they learned about MVC history, organizational culture, and even participated in a fun learning activity. The goal was to welcome them to MVC and make their first day experience memorable.
I helped create the templates used for the program materials, the memory match games, the powerpoint theme, and co-presented the sessions.
