Quick Start Guides
I was tasked with creating one-page quick start guides for many of the tasks that faculty have to perform on a regular basis. The project included developing a style guide and template for all of the guides to start from.
The original design was set up in columns and screen readers had a difficult time reading the page correctly. The three images below illustrate the original design including the formatting rules (1st image).
The accessibility issue lead to a redesign using a table rather than columns. This made the document accessible and easy for screen readers to navigate. The image below is the redesigned accessible document
Finally, our institution has gone through a reorganization which has led to new branding. The following images are the final quick start guides with the new branding. The first two images reflect branding for my campus. The last image reflects branding for a department for the college. All of these guides are fully accessible.
I was also tasked with creating a quick start guide for Best Practices for Teaching Online. The image below is the guide to Collect and Share BPTO Badges.
